Statement of Dental Remuneration Amendment No.150

The Scottish Government

Memorandum PCA(D)2021(3) outlines the latest amendments to the statement of of dental remuneration (SDR). The memorandum contains details of:-

  1. Funding support for ventilation equipment in dental practices
  2. Consequential changes to the SDR.

The memorandum also provides a link to the findings of the recent ventilation survey which had a response rate of 65%. Key findings included:-

  • Around 90% of all treatment rooms are currently in use, with two-thirds ventilated to the appropriate standard;
  • 43% of respondents intimated they had already made upgrades to their ventilation capacity;
  • The amount of money spent varied, but a typical response was between £500 and £1,000.
