Standards for Conscious Sedation in the Provision of Dental Care

The Chief Dental Officers of  England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales have  issued a letter about the findings of the Standards for Conscious Sedation in the Provision of Dental Care Report following a meeting with representatives from the Intercollegiate Advisory Committee for Sedation in Dentistry (IACSD).

The Scottish Dental Clinical Effectiveness Programme (SDCEP) have been asked to consider the IACSD Report and how best it might be taken forward;particularly taking account of risk to patients, the practicalities of implementation, and potential impact on current services and training.
