The Scottish Dental Clinical Effectiveness Programme (SDCEP) has now published a second edition of its Prevention and Management of Dental Caries in Children guidance.

The guidance aims to support dental teams to improve and maintain the oral health of their younger patients through the delivery of preventive care and, where necessary, effective management of dental caries.

The guidance has been subject to a thorough update and is endorsed by several of the dental faculties of the Royal Colleges, the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry and Childsmile.

Both the full version of the guidance and a summary ‘Guidance in Brief’ can be accessed via the SDCEP website.
