SDCEP draft guidance available for consultation

Draft  SDCEP guidance on Oral Health Management of Patients Prescribed Anti-resorptive or Anti-angiogenic Drugs is now available for consultation.

The consultation period ends on 1st October 2016.

This guidance is an update to the 2011 SDCEP publication Oral Health Management of Patients Prescribed Bisphosphonates and includes new advice on the wider range of drugs implicated in medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ).

This draft guidance aims to provide clear and practical advice for dentists in primary care on how to provide care for patients prescribed these drugs.  The guidance is also of relevance to prescribers and dispensers of bisphosphonates and to patients
