SDCEP Dental Prescribing app – Updated
The SDCEP Dental Prescribing app has been updated following amendments to the latest edition of the British National Formulary (BNF 73) which was published in March 2017. This update includes changes to the recommended adult dose of metronidazole. The circumstances in which it is appropriate to prescribe metronidazole are described within the Dental Prescribingapp. These remain unchanged and local measures should be used to manage patients in the first instance.
To ensure access to the most up-to-date prescribing advice:
- iPhone or iPad users of the app should install the update when prompted to do so by the App Store.
- For technical reasons, users with an Android smartphone or tablet should uninstall their current Dental Prescribing app and install the updated app from Google Play.
