The Safety Climate Survey (SCS) is a tool that enables practices to consider a snapshot of the safety culture in their practice and to better understand the impact on safety in their practice.

Completing the SCS and developing an action plan for improvement is part of the 2019–2020 quality improvement (QI) activity. For General Dental Services (GDS) dentists, this will meet the criteria for your allocated QI hours and allowance.

Completing the SCS will help you understand the safety culture of your practice across five key areas:

  • workload
  • communication
  • teamwork
  • safety systems and learning, and
  • leadership.

Visit the SCS website or download a PDF flier with more information.
