The popular Dental Prescribing app from the Scottish Dental Clinical Effectiveness Programme (SDCEP)  is now available for use on Android™ smartphones and tablets.

Based on the most recent version of the SDCEP Drug Prescribing for Dentistry Guidance , the app provides mobile access to the latest dentally relevant information compiled for the British National Formulary (BNF)  and BNF for children (BNFC) to facilitate drug prescribing within primary dental care practice.

Dental Prescribing presents advice on the management of a range of dental conditions in an easy to use, problem-orientated style. Drug regimens are displayed in a prescription-like  format to aid prescribing for both adults and children and are linked to the BNF for information on drug interactions.  Advice on the management of medical emergencies, including drug administration, is also provided.

The app is available to download free on Google Play™  or the App Store™.

Further information on the Drug Prescribing app is available on the SDCEP website.
